'Virgin Mary' toast fetches $28,000

Never a stranger to stupid publicity stunts, GoldenPalace.com ups the ante again after purchasing a 10 yr old piece of toast on Ebay for $28,000 - albeit one with an 'image' of the Virgin Mary. Apparantly the toast has never gone mouldy and has brought the Florida-based owner good luck in casinos over the years - and she certainly hasn't picked up the crumbs after this sale

GoldenPalace intend to take the sandwich on a world tour to raise money for charity.

No doubt the lines will be endless to view the bread.
