West Virginia gets Table Games
MTR Gaming Group, Inc. (NasdaqGS:MNTG ) today announced the passage on June 30th of the local referendum in Hancock County, WV allowing the Company's Mountaineer Race Track & Gaming Resort in Chester, WV to add table games at its facility.

Initially, the tables at Mountaineer will be situated within the existing facility, allowing a relatively fast start-up. MTR expects to introduce 37 poker tables at Mountaineer during the third quarter of 2007 and 50 table games during the fourth quarter of 2007. There are no statutory limits on bets or number of games.

Edson R. (Ted) Arneault, CEO of MTR Gaming Group, stated, "We are delighted that the people of Hancock County voted in favor of table games, which will create approximately 700 jobs in an area suffering high unemployment due to a struggling steel industry."

Mr. Arneault continued, "We are enthusiastic about offering expanded entertainment to our existing customers, and are confident that we will draw new customers who enjoy table games. Additionally, we believe table games will improve Mountaineer's overall competitive position and enhance Hancock County's development as a destination resort area."
