To gamble using the mobile devices, a casino visitor would need to show identification and deposit money into an electronic account. Under the law signed by Nevada Gov. Kenny Guinn in June, a wireless-blackjack player could gamble in the bars, restaurants, pool area and convention hall of a casino, but not in hotel rooms or other private areas
As the Nevada Gaming Board begin the task of setting out regulations for the new technology, Atlantic City is waiting patiently in the wings tempted to follow suit.
Whether or not hand gambling is become popular is another matter - surely the point of the pools and restaurants that make up the non-gaming side of the huge resorts are there to give the guests a break from the dulled lighting, flashing neons and repetitive sounds of the gaming floor.
