The nonsense continues in the United States as Conservative lawmakers call for more of a "nanny society".

Rep. Spencer Bachus (R-Ala) has renewed the call to prohibit adult Americans from doing as they wish with their discretionary income.

Bachus is utilizing familiar Republican scare tactics and misinformation to try to convince everyone that the sky will fall if Americans are allowed to grow up and make their own decisions.

This guy is anti everything that smacks of individual rights. He is so pro corporate and big oil that he recently voted against corporate shareholders setting CEO compensation, and against any and all forms of renewable energy programs.

Basically he wants the United States to remain dependent on foreign oil rather than become independent and eventually weaned of oil.

He likes government and corporate control of U.S. citizens so it's no surprise that he and his cronies are opposed to individual rights.
